The Grail Masaka Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Program is a community initiative in Uganda focused on supporting children affected by HIV/AIDS and other vulnerabilities. Spearheaded by the Grail Centre in Kitovu, the program aims to provide holistic care, including education, medical support, and psychosocial assistance.
One of its primary goals is to empower orphans to stay in their communities by placing them in foster care or under the guardianship of relatives. This effort includes covering school fees, providing health care, and training foster families. The program also emphasizes sustainable community health initiatives, such as training local health workers and promoting disease prevention through education
Director of Aktion Canchanabury Message
Aktion Canchanabury e.V. from Bochum, Germany has been working with our friends from Grail Masaka for more than twenty years. Together, we have been able to help hundreds of children to have a chance at a self-determined future. During this long period, we have always been able to rely completely on our friends from Grail Masaka. The trusting collaboration with Maria Nantege has always bridged the distance between Germany and Uganda, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration, in which we can continue to make a difference together in friendship
